When Master FX introduced the original Mystic Premiere Haze Generator in 2018, it marked the company’s first dedicated step into professional water-based haze. More importantly, it established a design philosophy that continues through today’s Mystic Mini and Mystic 2.
The original machine was built around flexibility. Instead of forcing operators to accept one density, one airflow pattern, or one way of handling fluid, Mystic gave them multiple ways to shape the atmosphere for the production.
Two fluids, two visual starting points
Mystic introduced support for two purpose-built haze fluids. Nebulous created a thinner haze intended to reveal beams and lasers while preserving more visibility. Obscure produced a thicker, more textured atmosphere for designs that needed greater density.
Changing fluids altered the character of the effect before an operator touched a control. That approach remains central to the current Mystic Series because it gives designers a broader creative range from the same equipment platform.
Independent haze and fan control
The original Mystic provided variable haze output and fan control from 1–100%. Operators could adjust the quantity of haze separately from the airflow moving it into the room.
That distinction is important. A small amount of haze moved quickly behaves differently from a dense output released at lower velocity. Independent control helps operators tune coverage for the room, the lighting design, and the visibility requirements of the production.
An integrated fan simplified deployment
Many haze systems rely on a separate fan to move atmosphere away from the machine. Mystic integrated a large internal fan into the enclosure, reducing the amount of equipment crews needed to position, power, and control.
The combined system also supported more repeatable results because output and airflow were designed to work together.
Practical details for professional crews
Mystic used an external fluid container with quick-disconnect fittings for simpler refilling and transport. Its compact form helped the machine fit into touring systems and permanent installations without requiring a large dedicated footprint.
At launch, Master FX backed Mystic with a 10-year warranty—an important signal that the new haze platform was intended as long-term professional equipment.
From Mystic to today’s series
The original Mystic is now part of the history behind Mystic Mini and Mystic 2. The current machines retain the central ideas—multiple fluid densities, integrated airflow, directional output, and professional control—while adding features such as RDM, voltage detection, low-fluid protection, automatic self-cleaning, fast warm-up, and updated interface options.
Mystic 2 extends the platform for larger environments and demanding schedules. Mystic Mini packages the approach into a smaller, lighter machine.
