For Master FX, LDI is more than a trade show. It’s a chance to bring people into our world.
We don’t want visitors to simply see our products on display. We want them to feel the wind, touch the fog, watch the snow move through the air, hear the confetti blast, and experience what our effects can do in a real environment. That idea became the foundation for our Behind the Build series: a closer look at the vision, the team, and the show that became one of our most ambitious LDI experiences yet.
The Thought Behind the Booth
The concept started with a big question: what if we brought the Master FX facility to the show floor?
Instead of building a traditional booth, the team wanted to create an environment. Something industrial, immersive, and unmistakably Master FX. The design pulled from the company’s identity as a place where atmosphere is engineered, tested, refined, and brought to life.
From early sketches to finished crates, the process followed the same mindset we bring to product development: dream big, push the idea as far as possible, then refine every detail until it serves the experience.
The result was not just a booth. It was a milestone.

The first episode traces the creative spark behind the booth, from Vince’s early visual inspiration to the idea of building a full Master FX world at LDI. It sets up the mission: create something unforgettable that reflects the company’s past, present, and future.
Episode 2: “The Team”
Episode 2 focuses on the people who made it happen. Rather than outsourcing the booth, the Master FX team built it in-house, bringing the same care, craftsmanship, and problem-solving spirit that goes into the products themselves.
Episode 3: “The Show”
The final episode brings the experience to life on the LDI show floor. From Genesis and low-lying fog to haze, snow, confetti, wind, and more, this episode captures the booth as it was meant to be experienced: fully immersive, sensory, and built to surround visitors with atmosphere.
Why We Show Up
LDI gives us the opportunity to connect with the people who use our products, design unforgettable moments, and push live experiences forward. It’s where we get to hear what our customers are building, share our stories, show what we’ve been working on, and create something people can experience firsthand.
Behind the Build is a look back at a major moment for Master FX in the fifteen-year journey that brought us here. It’s also an insight into how we approach our plans for the years ahead.
