A World of Trust Behind the Spectacle

A World of Trust Behind the Spectacle
"Coming back standing on top of the world..." – Ye

With a production built to be seen from every direction and every level of one of the largest stadiums in the country, Ye's sold-out Homecoming show at SoFi Stadium placed the artist in the center of a vast, in-the-round environment. The enormous smoking half-orb that served as Ye's stage and shifted visually between Earth, moon, and pure imagination, played a structural role in the show’s visual language.

BPM SFX and ImageSFX deployed Master FX equipment and fluids to wrap Ye and his creation in an all-encompassing atmosphere that enabled lighting, projection and lasers to work as one visual system. Fog and haze established scale, concealed and revealed the scenic form, and created the depth called for in this vision of a comeback staged on top of the world.

Why Prodigy Pro Was the Right Fogger.

A stadium show leaves little room for undersized tools. The atmospheric system must be capable of creating impact quickly, responding consistently, and integrating seamlessly with show control.

Prodigy Pro was built for that kind of demand. Its dual high-intensity pumps and advanced heating system are designed to fill large spaces rapidly. “Manic Mode” provides extreme high output when a cue calls for maximum impact, while “Infinity Mode” supports continuous output when the look needs to be sustained.

Control matters just as much as output. The Prodigy Pro is RDM-ready and offers five-pin DMX, customizable presets, low-fluid sensing, quick-disconnect fluid fittings, and integrated fluid selection. That fluid-selection function automatically adjusts the heater for the selected Master FX formula, helping the machine vaporize it correctly and deliver the intended effect.

For an intricate production with a rotating scenic centerpiece, projection, lasers, and tightly timed visual cues, that combination of power and repeatability is essential. The machine has to be able to create a large effect, but it also has to create the right effect on command.

Why Mystic 2 Was the Right Hazer.

Mystic 2

Fog creates moments. Haze creates the visual field in which those moments live.

Thin, uneven haze can disappear before it contributes to a design. With its high-output fan and advanced heating system, Mystic 2 delivers the performance that large-volume spaces require, producing a smooth, consistent atmosphere capable of lasting for hours.

Mystic 2 gives lighting operators full DMX control of haze levels. RDM functionality supports remote monitoring and configuration inside a larger production system. Automatic low-fluid shutoff, self-cleaning, voltage detection, and intelligent sleep behavior are practical reliability features when machines must perform through long rehearsals and two major show days.

At SoFi, that consistent haze gave lasers and lighting the density they needed to remain legible across long sightlines without replacing the stage picture with an uncontrolled wall of fog.

Why Code 6 Platinum and Obscure Were the Right Formulas.

Atmospheric machines and fluids should be specified as a system. Output alone is not enough; density, hang time, optical quality, cleanliness, and the desired rate of dissipation all determine whether an effect supports the production.

Dense Fog That Holds the Picture:

Code 6 Platinum is an extremely dense, long-lasting fog fluid with a hang time of up to three hours. In a stadium, where a quickly dissipating effect may be swallowed by the volume of the room, that persistence helps build and maintain coverage without forcing the system to start from zero after every cue.

Its density also gives fog reveals and scenic effects visual weight. Around a massive central globe, it allows fog to read as cloud, concealment, texture, or a transition between projected worlds.

Bright Beams and Sharp Lasers:

Obscure is a water-based haze fluid engineered specifically for Master FX Mystic Series generators. Its thick density is designed to produce bright beams and sharp lasers while also allowing the more textured, cloud-like atmosphere the Homecoming design called for.

A visual comparison between Obscure and its thin-density counterpart, Nebulous, demonstrates the nuance available to designers when choosing the right fluid for the effect.

Formulated to remain clean, dry, and odorless, all Master FX fluids are produced with UV de-ionized water and pharmaceutical-grade chemicals. Those qualities matter on professional productions where atmospheric effects run near performers, sensitive equipment, scenic surfaces, and large crews over extended periods.
